Not as “Promising” as they Promised.
I had bought a PaidHosts plan on 4th July 2008, Got rid of it on 13th July!
Why?
Tried it for a week, My site was down for 5-6 hours a DAY! They said they allowed Proxies and RapidLeech,I wasn’t hosting any of them, Just a simple “HTML” Script which dint require a SQL Database nor a Huge Server.Total Bandwidth used in these 9 days was 200 GB!+ How?! Well, I got really “pissed” with this Hoster who promised me a 99% Uptime and 24×7 Support,He came online once a day for about 30 mins and I had to wait for him to reply my Ticket or PM(This really PISSED ME OFF!!) I was well with him for about 4 days, Accepted all the Non-Sense he said about moving servers etc.. But what do I see on day 5? My A/c was “Hacked”. His Server is So Damn UNSECURE that anyone could hack it.. I opened a ticket via his site and asked for a Cpanel Password Reset.. He began asking me stupid questions like – “Whats my IP?” Dammit he owns the site! Can’t he see it ?! – Day 6,I get my account’s password resetted(Really annoyed now).Guess what I did for the next 3 days.. Asked for a refund, and He told me that he wouldn’t refund my money – I was like WTF?! WHY?! I haven’t even used 200 mb of Bandwidth in 7 days. He said they offer a refund only within 7 days,I lost my head! Opened a Paypal dispute – Uploaded Rapidshare Premium Script with 3 RS accounts(They had almost 50 GB BW Each!) – Since everything was UnMetered and RapidLeech was allowed, I got a chance to make my money worth which was spent on this STUPID HOST! My Rapidshare Premium Site was up(Still down for almost 4-6 hrs/day) for almost 2-3 days..Made almost $35-$40 from the ads in 3 DAYS! :O I was like WTF?! OMG!? Never made that much in a week! haha! The Total Transfer in 3 days was almost 200 GB+(Leeching and Giving the Files to the User). He suspended my account after 3 days and refunded my money 100% Back!(Finally)

Rating:
Signing Up: 5/10 (Very Slow and Manually Done)
Uptime: 4/10 – Poor Uptime.. Down form 5-6 hours/day
Support: 3/10 - Owner comes online only for about 30 mins/day
Space: 3/10 - Unmetered Space BS
Bandwidth: 2/10 – Unmetered Bandwidth BS
Speeds: 4/10 – Slow as a turtle ! (about 100 kb/s)
Overall: 2/10 – Worst Host Ever Had!

If you want low quality services and slow websites buy from PaidHosts.com!
My review for PaidHosts is 100% NEGATIVE and Congrats you have been Sesonized as SCAM!

One of the famous chit chat download website has been “hacked”!
They have been hacked by Snipeer-Hack(SnIpeer-HaCk@hotmail.com) & QaTel AlYaHoD(c.5f@hotmail.com).
Link:http://mazaonline.com/boards/

How to prevent yourself from hacking?:

1) Be careful from hackers – Block/Delete them from your MSN/YIM Lists
2) Cmod all the files as the Read.txt file of your script says..1 exploit found and BOOM! You won’t have your site the next day..
3) Take daily SQL + All files backups to secure your site and prevent a huge loss
4) Scan your PC with Nod32 or Kaspersky AV to prevent Keyloggers and being hacked
5) Change your password every 30 days
6) Use a Random Password
7) If you suspect that your PC has a KeyLogger – Copy Paste the password in the feild, Do not type it
8 ) Scan your PC every 3 days and keep the database updated
9) Use a secured Hoster or if you own a server make sure its secured
10) Remember the secret Question and Answer of your accounts
11) If you own a Forum or a Blog, Make a Hidden Admin
12) Avoid keeping the same password for all your accounts
13) Do not enter Credit Card/Account details on non “https://” sites
14) Do not download untrusted files, images, softwares etc.
15) Password protect Firefox using the Master Password Option(Hacker cannot get your passwords if he sniffs your Firefox with password stealer)

Now stop reading and scan your PC,Change your passwords and start taking back ups!
I hope these tips keep you & your websites Secure !

The name of the game is money and we all want to make more of it no matter how many times we say we don’t want to or don’t care if we do. We would almost not even be human if one of our main goals out of blogging was not to make money.

So today I thought I would briefly list off different ways you can make money online. I believe I created a similar list sometime back but this is just another one as I have added to it I am sure.

And here we go…

Link Sales

Banner Sales

Web design Services

Logo Services

Banner Design Services

Coding Services

Blog Post / Article Writing Services

Buy n Sell Websites

Buy n Sell Domains

Flip Sites

PTC

PPC

Affiliate Marketing

Stand On A Street Corner And Beg (LOL Could Not Resist Sorry)

Its a small list but these are the current ways I actually make money online. I believe with a little practice you can make money the same way and I believe you will be happy with the income you generate.

It really just comes down to how you look at success and how much money is enough money. For me there is never enough but I have learned not to expect so much from people and rather expect more from myself because after all I really only can control myself. Not Others!

Santrex.net Hosting – They have EVERYTHING!
I mean it! – VPS,VDS,IrC,Shared,Shoutcast,Dedicated,Proxy,TorrentFlux – You just name the type of hosting you want and they have it! This is one of the BEST Hosting I have EVER tired!
Ohk, My Rapidshare Premium Generator is hosted with them on their shared plan which has 1 GB Space and Unmetered Bandwidth just for $2/month! :O I know the space is a bit less but seriously, The $2 wasn’t a waste! I have made almost $50+ in these 3 weeks from the Premium Generator which was hosted with them.. No Complaints and all I had was Happy Users and almost 30x the money in my adsense+Paypal account which I spent for this host.. They have NO CONTENT RESTRICTION! – Which I loved! Host all your hard disk files - They simply don’t care !? I have used almost 50 GB Bandwidth in 12 days(1-12 Aug)!! I would have used more but since the space was pretty less I couldn’t offer more than 1 file/day download and I had to clear the files every 12 hours. Lets get back to the review and rate this host

My Ratings:
Signing Up: 8.5/10 (Had a bit problems with getting their email since I use Yahoo)
Uptime: 10/10 – I swear! Never been down.. Not even a second!
Support: 9/10 - Fast and Helpful! (Answered my ticket in 5 hours)
Space: 10/10 – 1 GB Space for $2 – Worth the buck man !
Bandwidth:10/10 – UNLIMITED WITH ANY PLAN ON SHARED HOSTING(Loved it)
Speeds: 10/10 – Speechless! Was getting about 5,000 kb/s with 100 MBPS Line! :O
Overall: 9.5/10 (Never the less.. They are a perfect host!)

It comes with regular cPanel 11 and Fantastico. What I like the most about this host that it allows you to host 2 domains with 1 GB Space and U/L Bandwidth just for $2!! That was just AMAZING!
I’m hosted with them for almost 23 days now and I will continue, It has been a FANTASTIC expirence with Santrex Hosting

Screenshots:
Speed Test with 100 MBPS Line: (There were 13 more users downloading)

This was an honest review and nothing has been taken in exchange for this !
They don’t have many reviews yet, But you can surely trust them after this one!

Firefox has taken a waaaaaaaaaay more intrusive approach to this and now displays a server error like page for misconfiguration servers/certs.

I had quickmarked my AdSense account url as https://google.com/adsense and when I just went there I saw this:

Then I retried it a few seconds later and it was ok. Not sure if it was a FireFox error or something on Googles side but 1 thing is for sure that new Firefox error page is no joke and will cost people business if they see it.

How do bloggers make money from blogs?

I’ve been reflecting this week about the amazing diversity of opportunities that are opening up for bloggers to make money from blogging.

I’ve long advised that bloggers seeking to make money from blogging spread their interests across multiple revenue streams so as not to put all their eggs in one basket.

The wonderful thing is that this is becoming easier and easier to do 2005 has seen many options opening up. I thought I’d take a look at some of the methods that bloggers are currently using to make money through blogs.

Income Streams for Bloggers – How to Make Money Blogging

Advertising Programs – Perhaps the most obvious changes in the past few months have been with the addition of a variety of viable advertising options for bloggers looking to make money from their blogs. The most common way bloggers seem to earn money online is via the contextual ad program from Google – Adsense. A more recent addition that many are using successfully are Chitika’s eMiniMalls and WidgetBucks, Text Link Ads.

Azoogle Ads, Intelli Txt, DoubleClick, Tribal Fusion, Adbrite, Clicksor, AdHearUs, Kanoodle, Pheedo, TextAds, Bidvertiser, Fastclick and Value Click (to name just some of the options) and there is a smorgasbord of options. Of course there is more to come with MSN Adcenter and YPN both in beta testing and with a variety of other advertising system currently in development (YPN is only available to US publishers).

Lastly there’s BlogAds – one of the first blog specific ad networks.

RSS Advertising – The past 12 months have seen some advances in RSS Advertising also. I’m yet to hear of any bloggers making big money blogging through it to this point – but as improvements are made to the ad programs exploring this I’m sure we’ll start to see examples of it being profitable.

Sponsorship – In addition to the array of advertising programs that are available to join there is a growing awareness in the business of the value and opportunity that exists for them to advertise directly on blogs. I’m hearing more and more examples of this and have been fortunately to have a couple of ad campaigns of my own in the past month – one with Adobe a couple of weeks ago and another just completed with Ricoh for a new digicam over at my Digital Camera Blog. These are not isolated cases – as I say I know of many blogs exploring sponsorship with advertisers at present and suspect we’ll see more of it in the year ahead. Sponsorship is also happening on a post by post basis with some bloggers being paid to write on certain topics by companies – either in one off or a regular fashion – and they are able to make big money from their blogs doing so.

Affiliate Programs – There are larger affiliate programs like Amazon, Linkshare, Clickbank and Commission Junction but also literally thousands of others from the large to the very small.

Digital Assets – Increasing numbers of bloggers have been developing other digital assets to support and add revenue streams to their blogs. By this I mean that I’m increasingly seeing e-books, courses and tele-seminars being run by bloggers. My recent foray into this with the first series of the six figure blogging course that Andy and I ran a few weeks ago and have just released the study version of. This type of activity will only increase in future – in fact this week I’ve seen numerous examples of bloggers running courses.

Blog Network Opportunities – with the rise in popularity of Blog Networks – bloggers are also being presented with more places to earn an income from their blogging – by writing for and with others. While it might be difficult to get a writing gig with one of the bigger networks – there are plenty who are always asking for new bloggers to join and who are willing to pay bloggers using a variety of payment models. While there are distinct advantages of blogging for yourself – blogging for an established network who will handle a lot of the set up/promotion/admin/SEO etc has it’s advantages also. More and more bloggers are combining writing for themselves on their own blogs with taking on blog network blogs as additional income streams.

Business Blog Writing Opportunities – as blogging has risen in it’s profile as a medium more and more businesses are starting blogs. Many of these companies have internal staff take on blogging duties – but an increasing number of them are hiring specialist bloggers to come on and run their blogs. I know of a number of bloggers who in the past month or two have been approached for such paid work. Check out Bloggers for Hire if you’re looking for this type of work.

Non Blogging Writing Opportunities – Also becoming more common are bloggers being hired to write in non blogging mediums. Manolo’s recent coup of a column in the Washington Post is just one example of this as bloggers are increasingly being approached to write for newspapers, magazines and other non blog websites. Along side this is the rise of bloggers as published book authors – this is to the extent that one blogger I spoke with this week complained to me that they were one of the few bloggers than they knew who didn’t have a book deal!

Donations – Tip Jars and donation buttons have been a part of blogging for years now but this last year saw a number of bloggers go full time after fund raising drives. Perhaps the most high profile of these was Jason Kottke of kottke.org who through the generosity of his readership was able to quit his job and become a full time blogger.

Flipping Blogs – Also more common in 2005 was the practice of ‘Blog Flipping’ – or selling of blogs. This has happened both on an individual blog level (I can think of about 20 blogs that sold this year) but also on a network level (the most obvious of these being the 8 figure sale of Weblogs Inc to AOL).

Merchandising – My recent attempt to sell ProBlogger.net T-shirts wasn’t a raging success, but it is an example of how an increasing number of bloggers are attempting to make a few extra dollars from their blogs by selling branded products through programs like Cafepress. While I didn’t have a lot of success with merchandising – quite a few larger blogs are seeing significant sales – especially blogs with a cult following. I’m not at liberty to discuss details – but I know of one largish blog which will see sales over $20,000 in merchandise for the calendar year of 2005.

Consulting and Speaking – While it has been popular for established consultants to add blogs to their businesses we’re also starting to see bloggers with no consulting background able to make money by charging readers for their time in consulting scenarios BECAUSE of the profile that their blogs have built them. Blogging has the ability to establish people as experts on niche topics and we all know the value of being perceived as an expert. I spoke to one blogger last month who charges himself out at over $200 an hour for speaking and consulting work – his area of expertise was something that he knew little about 18 months ago – but through his blog he’s become a leader in his field and a minor celebrity in his industry.

As time rolls on there are more and more ways that bloggers make money from their blogs opening up. Feel free to suggest your own ideas and experiences in comments below.

There are four main questions that readers want answered on your About Me page:

who you are…

your expertise and how it addresses…

their problem or goal, and how they can…

contact you

Here is a sample “About Me” page that answers these questions:

Hi, I’m Jane Smith and I write TransitionMomBlog (who Jane is) to help women make the transition from full-time mom to successful entrepreneur (the reader’s problem or goal). I started TransitionMomBlog in 2004 (Jane’s expertise – shows she has been blogging for two years) to help other women deal with the sometimes overwhelming prospect of starting a new business while still running a household (how Jane helps them overcome their problem or achieve their goal). Prior to raising my family, I spent over ten years as a teacher, corporate trainer and workshop leader (Jane’s expertise, both as a mom and a business person). To contact me, please email XXX (how to contact Jane).

This is a group writing project. If you want to take part, read on!

It is 2008; do we still need to ask ourselves what a blog is? I think so, and for two reasons. First of all we still have many misconceptions about blogging floating around the web. Pretty much every week I get at least one email from someone asking if I believe blogging has a future. My answer is always “as long as the Internet has a future, blogs do too.” You will see why I answer that below.

You also have countless articles being published every week where the author suggests that blogs are obsolete, and that the next big thing is micro blogging, or lifestreaming or something else. Again I don’t agree with any of those predicted trends.

The second reason for trying to define what a blog is in 2008 (many people have already done that in the past after all) is because blogging is a social phenomenon. As such, it is constantly evolving, and what was true two years ago might not be anymore.

Blogs Aren’t Necessarily Personal

The main misconception regarding the definition of blogs comes from people that associate blogs with their content. More specifically from people that associate blogs with the content from one particular type of blog: personal blogs.

In other words, those people think that blogs are online diaries where people share their opinions, ramblings and personal events.

Wrong!

That is just one of the things that you could do with a blog.

Today blogs are being used for all sorts of purposes. You have companies that use blogs to communicate and interact with customers and other stake holders. Newspapers that incorporated blogs to their main website to offer a new channel for their writers. Individuals that created a blog to share with the world their expertise on specific topics. And so on.

Separate The Content

If you separate the content from the website, it becomes much easier to work with the definitions.

Consider a person that wants to publish a Questions & Answers column online. She could use several types of websites for that purpose.

She could create an online forum, for example, where each thread would be an answer to a specific question. She could create a static HTML website and publish all the questions and answers on a single page. She could create a wiki where users would be able to edit the questions and answers directly. Finally, she could also create a blog where each post would contain a question and its answer.

As you can see, the content is not attached to the website. The picture below illustrates that (note that only four types of websites were used, but there are many more).

Obviously one type of website will be more suitable for a certain purpose than others. It would be easier for a company to use an online forum on its customer support section, for instance.

So What Is A Blog?

A blog is basically a type of website, like a forum or a social bookmarking site. As such it is defined by the technical aspects and features around it, and not by the content published inside it.

The features that make blogs different from other websites are:

content is published in a chronological fashion

content is updated regularly

readers have the possibility to leave comments

other blog authors can interact via trackbacks and pingbacks

content is syndicated via RSS feeds

Keep in mind that it is the bundle of those features that should define a blog. An online forum could also offer an RSS feed for example, but that would not make it a blog.

We have discussed mostly all of this, but I have gathered them together and given a solution to it, It really sucks when your paypal gets limited, read below for avoiding them..

Reasons:

Withdrawal Amount i.e Transferring huge amount of money in your bank/credit card or ordering a check with only $0 remaining

Using proxies and unsupported IP’s of other places

Many disputes/chargebacks and claims

Amount received from suspicious persons

Adding debit/credit cards which are not safe for use like VCC’s

Types of goods being sold in subject lineSending Payment and disputing it many timesMany unauthorized claimsIf you login from blacklisted IP AddressesIf you login from same IP in many accounts..

How to avoid Limitations:

If you have multiple accounts, try logging in from different IP address

Clear your browser cookies

Dont send big amount of money all of a sudden

dont move money from your 1st account to second and 2nd account to first

Don’t add many CC’s and Banks and remove them after verification

If paypal is not there in your country, try using an alternative instead of making a paypal account with other countries name

PayPal checks how much money you are transferring to the banks and credit cards, if you are not withdrawing much, they might suspect you

Do not withdraw whole amount of money and keep a balance of 0$, try keeping atleast $100-$150 in the account and withdraw the rest

Don’t recieve money from people whom you think are fishy

Try recieving money from Verified users

Don’t keep changing your profile details every now and then..

I hope these tips might prevent your PayPal limitation, I hope this helps..

I have been using paypal from 2 years, this is what is my experience, if you get any new ideas, do share with us
